SeekOut built its name on deep technical sourcing: over a billion profiles enriched with GitHub activity, patents and publications, with filters that made it a favourite for technical and diversity-focused search. Its 2025-26 strategy is agentic, with Sam the AI interviewer, SeekOut Assist and SeekOut Robot, a hybrid human-plus-AI service called Spot, and an MCP integration that surfaces it inside Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot.
The company has changed hands at the top. Co-founder Anoop Gupta stepped down as chief executive in May 2026 and moved to executive chairman, with Sean Thompson, formerly chief executive of NAVEX and a veteran of SAP Ariba and Microsoft, taking over. Co-founder Aravind Bala stays as CTO. With around 150 employees, 750-plus corporate customers and more than $100 million still in the bank, it reads as a business settling itself rather than one winding down.
